Scott Henson

Scott Henson is Vice President of National Construction with Regency Centers.
Scott supports the CIO and senior leadership in all aspects of design and construction. In his role, he leads construction efforts nationally, shaping the company's construction policies and organizational structure, overseeing project execution, mentoring teams, and integrating emerging technology. Scott will also foster relationships with design and construction professionals to ensure consistent hiring and training practices.
Scott is an accomplished real estate development and construction leader with extensive experience in purchasing, land acquisition, entitlements, planning, design, and project management. He has successfully managed large-scale projects, including retail, mixed-use developments, high-rise condominium projects, and grocery-anchored shopping centers, working with major corporations such as Target, Walmart, Whole Foods Market, and others.
Before joining Regency, Scott served as Vice President of Construction at Sleiman Enterprises, Weingarten Realty, and Vestar, overseeing regional and national design and construction efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while fostering strong relationships with contractors and consultants. He has a proven track record of guiding teams to achieve best-in-class construction execution, driving innovation, and enhancing company processes and standards.
Scott received his Bachelor's of Construction from the University of North Florida. He is a member of ICSC and a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida (CGC 054474). He donates his time at the St. Mary's Food Bank, volunteering for the United Way and other local charities.
When not on the job site or in the office, Scott maintains a daily cardio and weight training regimen and enjoys surfing, snow skiing, hiking, and camping in Northern Arizona.
